Alexa is an avid speaker, best-selling author, author coach, publisher, and a champion of women. She turned to writing books as a healing method after the death of her infant daughter and fell in love with all things publishing. She uses her writing platform for advocacy and activism to support mothers, children, and marginalized voices.

After publishing Sunshine After the Storm: A Survival Guide for the Grieving Mother, Alexa created a book series for mothers called Lose the Cape. She is also the creator and co-host of the Lose the Cape podcast, which features moms sharing their own stories about how they make a difference in their children’s lives.

Among many other achievements, Alexa founded the Women in Publishing Summit, and owns Purple Butterfly Press, a children’s book publishing company for bringing stories of hope, inspiration, encouragement, and girl-power to the world.
